The Advanced Flight Spey Shooting Head is RIOs latest line for the spey caster. These heads have a long front taper that ensures the softest of presentation and a design that loads rods up easily, resulting in extremely effortless casts of prodigious distances. They are a joy to cast and incredibly easy to get the feel of. For the very best in presentation and control attach one of RIOs 10' VersiLeaders to the front end and RIOs Powerflex Core shooting line to the back end. Skagit casting requires a line with a very short, 25-27 ft (7 to 8.3 m), heavy head that propels heavy sink tips and big flies great distances with a very short casting stroke. Ideal when the bank is really close and you can't get a 'D' loop or when the wind is coming hard at you and you are trying to cast a big tube. Slow the cast right down for best results.
This line can be used with really heavy tips for fishing in Alaska, Russia etc.
Skagit casting is easy for novice or experienced casters to learn. When casting Skagit lines the total head length should be matched to the rod; the total head length including the sink tip should be no more than 3 to 3.5 times the length of the rod. The new Skagit Flight Shooting Head is the very ultimate design in Skagit lines for maximum flight time, effortless casting strokes and the tightest and sweetest of loops. Based on the extraordinarily successful AFS head, the line features a heavy back end that loads rods deeply and easily and a subtle taper that ensures the energy flows smoothly to the tip, generating improved loops and long, long flight times and distance. The front end has a thick tip that packs a big punch and easily lifts out heavy tips and large flies with supreme ease. The heads vary in length a little depending on the size. Attach a shooting line to the ultra strong welded

WindCutter II Spey - improved for 2009. Now features RIOs XS Technology for an extraordinarily slick, dirt repelling coating. It has an easy loading head between 48 ft (14.7 m) Ð 56 ft (17.1 m), (depending on the size) and is the most versatile of all Spey lines.
The WindCutter II VersiTip comes with a body and a selection of five 15 ft (4,6 m) tips. These tips are: floating, clear intermediate (1.5 ips, 4 cm/s), DC Type 3 (3 ips, 8 cm/s), DC Type 6 (6 ips, 15 cm/s) and DC Type 8 (8 ips, 20 cm/s) sinking tip.
