Skagit casting requires a line with a very short, 25-27 ft (7 to 8.3 m), heavy head that propels heavy sink tips and big flies great distances with a very short casting stroke. Ideal when the bank is really close and you can't get a 'D' loop or when the wind is coming hard at you and you are trying to cast a big tube. Slow the cast right down for best results.
This line can be used with really heavy tips for fishing in Alaska, Russia etc.
